A new preserve company contacted me through my Facebook page wanting a fresh and modern, yet painterly logo. Pretty much my favourite brief! I got a little carried away, churning out roughs to choose between before working up the final... A directional rethink meant that the company was going to take a more Chilli based approach. Back to the drawing board foas it were! And the final choice...

A lovely lady got in touch to see if I could create a laptop bag out of KateMoby fabric... Some designing and international ordering later and, yes I can! My most useful tool was a cereal packet "laptop" I made to match the size - it's nerve wracking making something to fit a specific object if you don't have said object in your possession! The final design incorporated a button closure, zip front pocket, lining and padding, canvas and leather handles and a good sprinkling of Beech Leaves! Not a bad foray into construction. Personally I'm most chuffed how the button I made lines up with the pattern so nicely. How I did it: Do you have a bespoke project you'd love to see brought to life? Get in touch!
Following from some lovely logo design, I've been commissioned to design some stationery for Children's online shop Bumbilee. First on the menu, lovely heavyweight business cards.
First, riff through ideas, develop then produce! I'm super pleased to announce two new marvellous creative workshops that I'll be running in a lovely little craft premises in Brackley, Northhamptonshire.

You'll head home with a tote bag or two with your own design printed on, and the knowledge of how to do it again using simple equipment found in your house! Limited to 4 people. Any further info required, please just holler! Now drum roll for the posters... Someone spotted my inky animal friends on my Facebook post about my recent greetings card success and wished they could be phone covers... I hate to disappoint! Ta da!
So far my Facebook business page has been a real encouragement and worth putting myself out there. (Those "likes" are addictive.) I wanted to create a way of quickly showing newcomers what I'm all about, hence this header... What do you think? I think it demonstrates that I like blue very well. Ah blue.
A new children's shop came to me for a logo for their flourishing company. They wanted "it to stand out, a Katemoby origin-nally!" I happily obliged, with the usual process of creating a range of ideas, and then homing in on the favourite. It was great to have some graphics to get stuck into! Homing in on the best solution... And the final... Drumroll please!
I'm staring down Christmas like a head on collision, but have still managed to sneak some hand made products in there for a couple of First Christmas presents for some tiny people I know. No better time for some personalised zebras printed in Midnight Blue I thought! Are Zebras just for Christmas, or should I add them to the repertoire?
I enjoyed putting together a leaflet for these lovely people with illustration and photography to advertise their charity shop and coffee shop in Hereford City. Check it out here. Hopefully it'll help them generate some much deserved customers to raise money for the anti-trafficking charity The Freedom Project. If you look closely you'll notice it matches a poster I put together earlier in the year. Oh and they're always looking for new donations, so if you get some things for Christmas that really aren't your cup of tea, here's a great place to pass them on, guilt free!
Super excited to present my new ceramic range, Blue Trees. I'm hoping to build up stock soon, but at the moment they're made to order, so please get in touch asap if you fancy some for Christmas. Espresso Cup and Saucer Teacup and Saucer (imagine the saucer!) Dainty Serving Bowl |
