Approximately 3 years and 100 illustrations in the process, I have finally finished my Inky Wildflower alphabet! Celebrating British wildflowers with my usual bamboo dip pen and ink, each print features calm typography with dainty floral hand-drawn illustrations matched to the letter and the option to add botanical information so you can tell your Hawthorns from your Hellebores.
Now that the whole alphabet is complete, I can also offer my personalised name prints in this design, perfect for a new baby, to thank a flower girl or for anyone who loves botanical beauty. I'd love to hear what you think and if there's any products that you'd like your floral name or initials to adorn!
A labour of love
I've been tinkering with this project on and off for the last few months, as much for my own enjoyment as anything, working on each tiny illustration using my usual method of pen and ink using my hand carved bamboo pens. From Anteater to Zebra via Hammerhead Shark, Narwhal, Flamingo and Sloth! Reproduced on luxurious archival watercolour paper, this art print will hopefully stir up imagination and curiosity, help learning and be a thoughtful finishing touch to a little ones nursery. I am completely in love with this photo sent from a customer, of her bespoke Inky Donkey fabric in situ. This beautiful place is a 150 year old stone house on the Greek island of Tinos. Below the house was where the original occupants kept their transport - a donkey garage, now transformed into a breathtaking bedroom!

Bespoke baby print
Seems like the post yesterday has prompted a flurry of customer pics! I really love this one of a bespoke print I created for someone's very first nursery. Isn't it such a beautiful space? Congratulations!
