I've just polished off a lovely bespoke cushion commission for Interior Designer Celia James. She picked her fabrics and sizes of choice and I made it happen.

I've been invited to be part of City Showcase Soho Flea Market. With loads of live music, food stalls and beautiful design focused stands full of good stuff, it should be a good one! It'll be my very first retail event selling to the good people of London, so please keep fingers crossed that I can avoid cockney cliches... And if you're anywhere near Dean Street/Soho/London in general, it'd be fab to see you! You can see the full line up here. 11-7 on Dean Street, Soho, roll up, roll up! Oops, I've started already... Some press about it. No biggy. “London’s premier outdoor artisanal and designer crafts event” - Daily Mail “Super successful Soho Flea Market... boasts an awe inspiring list of creative stallholders” - Time Out “Soho Flea Market has got us excited” - Red Magazine “Soho Flea Market is creative heaven” - Harper’s Bazaar “It’s all about the Soho Flea Market” - Attitude “A vibrant and alternative market” - Daily Telegraph “Stalls from the UK’s young creative talent, live music and a huge range of food at this bustling market” - The Times “Unique, stylish gift shopping” - Elle Magazine “We’ll be heading down to Dean Street on Sunday. Loads of unique stalls” - Yahoo “Fellow craft/fashion lovers will be pleased to know Soho Flea Market is back” - Glamour “Head and shoulders above run-of-the-mill high street goods” - Harper’s Bazaar First wedding shoot of the year! Beautiful late afternoon spring sunshine to match a beautiful bride. I'm also super pleased with my new albums that house the bespoke printed DVD that the happy couple will receive the photos on.
A beautiful Cypriot holiday villa wanted a new logo incorporating olives/greek pottery and a general mediterranean vibe. As per usual I created a range of options and left it up to the owners to decide which they preferred as a final. Right, it feels like holiday o'clock now, get me on a plane!
Tis the season when wedding stationery orders start to hot up. I’ve had lots of lovely orders for my bird place settings that perch on the edge of wine glasses. For a while they’ve been hand cut, but I’ve just bought a wonderful corner cutting contraption (quite literally!) Most popular personalised colours this year so far have been mint green, dark purple and champagne. It's never a problem to match to your theme, have them fully personalised with printed names, or have them completely blank. It's your day! I know how expensive weddings can become, which is why I also offer these place settings printed on a sheet but not cut out. You get to save the pennies, rope in some willing bridesmaids and have a giggle whilst cutting them out at your leisure. When I get a chance, I quite fancy designing some new paper cut creations now that they can be produced much more easily (and neatly!) Maybe like this. Now, step away from the tiny scissors and have a cup of tea! Word on the street was that the moon was going to be something special to look at last night. Initially it appeared to have done a runner, but then we spotted lurking coyly behind a small copse. I'm no astro-photographer, but it's nice to remember to create for fun and not just because it's work.
So my Achica promotion has wrapped and I'm pretty chuffed to have sold 66 framed prints, 42 unframed prints and 5 cards! This guy featured pretty heavily, must be the season. Unexpectedly I've also received 6 pet portrait commissions from the exposure, so busy-ness all round! Having had some recent breakages when sending frames via courier (boo!) the thought of over 60 frames turning up smashed made me feel a bit sick. So I hand delivered them, much to the confusion of the distribution depot. No lorry, no high-vis jacket, can't compute! I slept much better knowing they had arrived safe and sound. Now I just hope the customers love them!
Finished at MOO again. Created and curated an image resource library for them this time. Conveniently was around for the Q1 party at Shoreditch House. Such good snacks.
Drumroll... All this week Achica are running a promotion of my work (mostly Inky Animal related goodies.) They market themselves as a “members only luxury lifestyle store” - is anyone a member and fancies having a look for me?
They will let me know on Friday what has sold, and then I have 10 days to get it to them… Challenge accepted! Pleased to announce that you can now buy my designs in an ever expanding range of phone cases. New to the team are the iPhone 5c, and the Galaxy Samsung S5. Yes.
