Things have been flat out juggling commuting to moo ever day and getting ready for Top Drawer... In amongst all this juggling, I've managed to put together some new products that I'm officially launching at the show, hope you like them! Available in the shop!

A few months into being at moo.com now, so when an invitation commission comes along, I automatically think: "that would look great on a postcard." Hope City Hereford, who I have had great pleasure working on a number of commissions for, have built a new premises and wanted to shout about their opening ceremony... Ta da! Other ideas included:
One of my recent tasks for moo.com was to design a set of cards for a large company that matched their identity as seen on their website. So I needed to know what colours they'd used for their branding. Which is when I came across this amazing tool hidden away in the utilities folder on macs.
When you open it and float it over words or graphics, it tells you the colours that they've used! So helpful, and I never knew it existed! What other secrets are hiding away? Any top hidden mac tips? Find it in: Applications > Utilities > Digitalcolor Meter and try not to mind the spelling! Here it is! The launch of the projects that I've been working on at moo. Luxe has a seam of colour, either black, blue, red or white. And we got some lovely pressies to say thanks for our work, including a hand written note from the CEO. Ace.
I've just started freelancing for the lovely people at MOO.com.
They may or may not be releasing some shiny new things soon, and I may or may not have been creating graphics and visualisation work for them! With the amount of free food that flies around, the 2 hour ish commute is totally worth it! A few months ago, I carried out some branding work for a new company (one of my favourite types of work - I love how many people now are stepping out bravely and making it happen for themselves!)
Next request on the list - banners! As per usual, I came up with a flurry of ideas for the Client to pick from. Another lovely afternoon of teaching screen printing the simple way yesterday... Here are the results the lovely ladies came up with! The image in the bottom right corner was kindly sent through from one of the ladies. She was so inspired that she went out and bought the bits and pieces needed for printing, and added text, a sun and buttons to her design of the leaping deer. I think it looks cracking! And it's so lovely to see people enjoying and using what I have taught them! Ace all round. I suspect another workshop will be in the diary soon... Get in touch if you want to know more!
I've done a fair amount of work for Hope City Hereford (see a few examples here, and here.) When they needed a poster advertising their new drop in centre The Lighthouse, for the homeless and those struggling with addictions, providing food and a listening ear, it was my pleasure to oblige. And the chosen final image... Printed by the wonderful people of ABC Print - I really do recommend them!
A lovely lady got in touch via my Facebook page requesting a logo design. It turned out what was actually going to be useful was a new header image for her fab blog Tales From The Village, incorporating roller skates, a pile of books, a cupcake, a plant, wool and "well, something like that." She wanted a scribbly feel and a simple white background... Rolling up my sleeves, first of all I tackled the layout. Once the layout was OK'd, I worked on the ink drawings, and levels of "scribblyness" with different typefaces. And the final in situ! Check it out.
Having worked for a Property Surveyor in the past, dabbling with CAD technician work and designing the odd car port or two, I'm no stranger to reading architectural plans, and helping people "see" what they are describing. Some recent such work.
