I don't know about you, but one of my favourite things about designing is seeing it transform form an idea or a sketch in to real life. It's not always a possibility to see the end result however, so I've trawled the web for impressive free templates to mock up design ideas into reality. It can also be a really useful tool to help Clients visualise what you are designing. Enjoy! Click on the image for the download page. PS Please note I haven't used them all myself yet so you're not allowed to be sad with me if some don't work well. (But please do let me know.)

After LOTS of umming and ahhing, I've decided to take up the offer of a stand at the Ideal Home show at Christmas. I'll be running some comps soon for free tickets, so look out for that!
I've never done one of these massive retail fairs before, so just gently freaking out in the corner... Only a month to pull it together, challenge accepted. This is happening! Not only have I been handpicked for the "new talent" area Spotted Plus (which gives me double the space to display as I had in September), I've been selected by the Design Editor of The Telegraph Magazine as a featured British designer and manufacturer for their Product UK Showcase. Eek! If you're a retailer and are thinking of visiting, please let me know and I can send you a free entry voucher.
Things have been manic lately… I’ve been freelancing back at moo.com, orders are piling up and I’m trying to prepare for another Trade Show in early January that I’ve been selected for (more on that another time.)
So, in order to catch up a bit, I’m putting all my online shops on holiday as of this Monday until the New Year. If you’re thinking of ordering something for Christmas, it’ll have to be this weekend I’m afraid! www.notonthehighstreet.com/katemoby www.katemoby.com www.etsy.com/uk/shop/KateMoby :) Woo, I managed it! One of my wholesale orders from Top Drawer - some epic bamboo whittling required for Dulwich Picture Gallery and British Design British Made... Sorry pandas!
So I've finally managed to catch my breath! Top Drawer was fab: a flurry of on the spot sales, some lovely new stockists (including Dulwich Picture Gallery, To Be Established, BritishDesignBritishMade, and Bond Street Studios) and some very exciting press interest (ahem Ideal Home Magazine and the Guardian) and orders keep trickling in! Thanks so much for all your lovely words of encouragement! Now, anyone fancy helping me carve 102 bamboo pens..? The other Spotted exhibitors were just lovely, I recommend checking them out!
Lots of news and pics to share, but for now I just need to lie down...
Hopefully someone will want to nab some of these this weekend... If you are interested in wholesale orders, please get in touch!
A few months into being at moo.com now, so when an invitation commission comes along, I automatically think: "that would look great on a postcard." Hope City Hereford, who I have had great pleasure working on a number of commissions for, have built a new premises and wanted to shout about their opening ceremony... Ta da! Other ideas included:
A charity in Hereford City wanted to document building works of a new premises. As no stranger to building sites from my days of working with a Property Surveyor, I got involved and just a little dusty!
