 I've been tinkering with this project on and off for the last few months, as much for my own enjoyment as anything, working on each tiny illustration using my usual method of pen and ink using my hand carved bamboo pens. From Anteater to Zebra via Hammerhead Shark, Narwhal, Flamingo and Sloth! Reproduced on luxurious archival watercolour paper, this art print will hopefully stir up imagination and curiosity, help learning and be a thoughtful finishing touch to a little ones nursery. It's my pleasure to be involved with an auction of art pieces and promises for St Michael's Hospice. More than 20 lots, featuring a cross-section of mediums, will go on sale at the Trumpet Corner Tea Room and Art Gallery near Ledbury on Friday 13th July at 7.30pm. I'm donating an extra large Inky Mallard framed print and also a bamboo pen workshop for 6 people. The evening will be led by the BBC's Kate Bliss, an antiques expert on hit shows Bargain Hunt and Flog It! so come along to raise money for a wonderful cause and take home a piece you love. Hey cat people, did you know there's a magazine called Your Cat? Did you also know that they've featured my Inky Kitten tea towel? Pretty nice. I do now own a free sample of kitten food that I don't know what to do with though.  Another work-in-progress Inky pet portrait... This little lady is a tiny Dachshund, which is super fun to say. Fancy your own? Get in touch!  I don't know about you, but one of my favourite things about designing is seeing it transform form an idea or a sketch in to real life. It's not always a possibility to see the end result however, so I've trawled the web for impressive free templates to mock up design ideas into reality. My super creative husband has been stealing my camera equipment more and more, and frankly is showing me up! He's had work featured on Speedhunters, and has just launched his own brand. If you're a bit of a petrol head, I'd definitely recommend checking him out! 
Finished at MOO again. Created and curated an image resource library for them this time. Conveniently was around for the Q1 party at Shoreditch House. Such good snacks. |
