I've just started freelancing for the lovely people at MOO.com.
They may or may not be releasing some shiny new things soon, and I may or may not have been creating graphics and visualisation work for them! With the amount of free food that flies around, the 2 hour ish commute is totally worth it!

Top end hairdresser Ekko asked me to shoot some images of their cut, colour and styling work for the international La Biosethique hair competition! Some research into studio hire in Oxfordshire, a little purchasing of my own studio lighting rig and we were away! I think the models were more nervous than me, but it was probably close... With only one date before the competition deadline that we were all available, there was no room for error! It was a fab day - and I would totally use Banbury Photography Studios again - they couldn't do enough! Some heavy duty fashion retouching later, and I sent off a set of images that I was really proud of. Here's just a few. Now it's just fingers crossed! Before and after some intensive photoshop work, perfecting ever detail from the fringe line to the makeup.
I spent a very enjoyable day this week at a commercial photo shoot for Pengethley Farm Shop.
I spent a large amount of time at the deli counter, and think I came away smelling like cheese... More than normal... It's taken a while, but I've finally spruced up my Wedding Photography page, with slideshows and galleries and other sparkly jazz. I'd love to hear any thoughts about it!
To celebrate this somewhat major achievement, I'm offering 25% off any wedding bookings made until the end of May 2013. Aannddd... GO! I've just come back after a week of rural enforced radio silence in beautiful Springtime Cornwall. Part of the reason for the trip was to teach a Food Photography Workshop for The Hedgecombers, which was great fun. The rest of the time was spent soaking up the sun, beach bbqs of steak and roast veg, surfing, visiting a captive rainforest (less mosquitos than the Amazon - win!) and generally unwinding. Oh and a touch of sunburn. I know I'm sufficiently pasty, no pun intended, to singe in April, yet it takes me by surprise every year.
The Hedgecombers had this to say about it: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! SO much for yesterday! It was just what I needed, and I feel so much more in control of my camera and pictures now. Your teaching style is awesome, and you clearly know & understand your subject perfectly, as you can put it across in real simple terms. Thanks again Kate xx If you have any workshop requirements, drop me a line - I love a one-to-one learning sesh! I love seeing work that I've done for people be used and enjoyed. A few weeks ago I shot a lovely Deli and Wine Bar. Seems like they were happy with them. No job is too small, so please get in touch if you need some pics of your businesses best bits!
The world is full of inspiration, and I've been blessed to photograph a large chunk of it. A wee celebration of colour, and a useful tool for those of us slightly terrified of colour... Or is it just me!?
It's always nice to see the fruit of how people use my commercial photography services. Check out the lovely namecheck at the bottom of the board!
Special offer at the mo, half price shoots! Quote this blog post when enquiring, and for the whole of March and April, I will give you 50% off my usual commercial photographic prices (which are most reasonable to begin with!) Whether you are just getting started as a business, or need to freshen up websites and marketing material, nothing adds a little shine like some beautifully shot photographs selling your best bits! Check out my portfolio of commercial work for some ideas and inspiration! Someone leading a meeting about market town Brackley fancied a display of non obvious images of the town to intrigue people, and encourage them to chew over the details of the place. They didn't have to promote it or put any spin on, just get people looking and thinking.
