Free Wildflower Seeds
As a treat in this difficult time, I'm giving away one packet of free bee-friendly wildflower seeds with every order over £5 (that's just two greeting cards for example.) Each packet contains a special selection of over 20 varieties that all pollinators will love, and enough seed to cover one square metre. If you don't have a garden, they will thrive just as well in a sunny pot or window box.
Sow when the soil is warm and not too wet, ideally in Spring or Autumn. If sowing directly to the ground rather than into compost, just dig over your soil removing any weeds that will be competition, and rake until it is a crumbly texture. Sprinkle your seeds and rake once more to just lightly cover them with a fine layer of soil. Water them taking care not to wash your seeds away. If you're sowing in Spring, you'll need to water them regularly whilst the seedlings are establishing, perhaps twice a week. If you're sowing in Autumn, just water once when you sow them and leave them be over winter when they will be dormant. Come back and water them regularly when the weather warms up and the seedlings start showing. 100% flowers, no grass!

Our wildflower meadows have almost all disappeared - 97% has been lost since the 1930's. We need to safe guard our amazing biodiversity, and what better way than to sow something pretty that we can enjoy too. With thanks to Habitat Aid, these seeds also support a number of charities, including Gardening for Disabled Trust, The Hawk and Owl Trust, The Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Amphibian and Reptile Groups' 100% Fund, Freshwater Habitats Trust, Buglife, Butterfly Conservation and many more!
I'd love to see photos of your mini wildflower meadows, please do send them across or via social media. Please note that if your order total is below £5 then you won't be eligible for free seeds and they won't be included. Due to bio-security laws, this offer is only open to UK customers.
